MISSION STATEMENT

“To build a safe and welcoming community for all to explore and grow into engaged citizens.”

Milestone School is a kindergarten to grade 12 school that is the educational center of a warm, friendly,
bustling community that has much to offer. Each of us has the responsibility to contribute to both our school
community and our larger community. We all want to be safe and welcome to explore learning and the larger
world. As we grow and learn we will value each other and how we can contribute to improving the lives of all
our community members.

VISION STATEMENT

We envision a school as a community of learning where we are all...

"Growing Together Aspiring to Personal Excellence"

1. Among the school community, all of us are growing through life together.
2. Aspirations, dreams, are paramount when finding our way forward.
3. Each of us has the potential to achieve greatly! Seeking to improve oneself and to achieve individual
excellence is a good journey for each of us.

MILESTONE VALUES

As of 01 September 2025, we are still revisiting our Values. As a staff, we have been reflective and drilled into
the fundamental pieces that are needed to help build respect and responsibility. We are bringing the below
named values to our students to explore how these sit within our school community and if students also share
these values:

Values

Schools do more than offer content. Schools help guide our youth towards their future. Schools are only one
part of the team that each individual learner needs to be surrounded with. Families are the experts in their
children. Milestone School believes that our values form the foundation of building healthy, happy, and kind
citizens. Students with these values and characteristics will be respectful and responsible members of society.
They will have the social skills to thrive and contribute to our local, provincial, national, and international
communities. With these values, students will have the confidence to explore, find, and eventually focus on
their chosen path. When the learner recognizes that they control their future, the school can help in offering
content that the student needs to achieve their goals.
